Fundación Intras Driving Innovation in Mental Health and Ageing

Fundación Intras

Fundación Intras is a core partner in the COMFORTage project, contributing its long-standing expertise in mental health, ageing, disability and socio-healthcare innovation. As a sociohealth organisation, INTRAS combines applied research, Living Lab methodologies and direct support services for people with mental health conditions, cognitive decline and older adults. This integrated approach ensures that its solutions are developed and tested in real-life settings, with a strong focus on user needs, inclusion and social impact.

Leadership in Dissemination and Communication (WP8)

Within COMFORTage, Fundación Intras leads Work Package 8 (WP8) and the Task 8.1: Dissemination and Communication. In this role, INTRAS is responsible for maximising the visibility, impact and exploitation of project results at European level, together with the rest of task leaders (ANA, RSCN, EHTEL and Q-PLAN). Through targeted communication strategies, stakeholder engagement and knowledge transfer, INTRAS ensures that COMFORTage outcomes reach professionals, policymakers, end-users and the wider innovation ecosystem. This work supports the long-term sustainability and scalability of the project’s results in mental health and ageing care.

Pilot Implementation and Social Learning Methodology in COMFORTage Project

INTRAS plays an active role in the project pilots through its participation in WP6, where it implements the pilot 11 divided into two complementary sub-studies. These pilots allow the evaluation of COMFORTage solutions in real socio-healthcare environments, drawing on INTRAS’ experience in psychosocial rehabilitation and cognitive decline with its solution calle Gradior Suite.

In addition, INTRAS is Task Leader in the Task 5.5 (WP5), leading the implementation of the Social Learning methodology. This approach fosters co-creation, mutual learning and active participation of users, professionals and stakeholders, ensuring that innovation is user-centred, inclusive and evidence-based.

Ethics, Usability and Health Economic Assessment (WP7)

Ethics and responsible innovation are key pillars of INTRAS’ contribution to COMFORTage. Within WP7, INTRAS leads Task 7.4 on usability, user acceptance and user experience assessment, ensuring that project solutions are accessible, meaningful and acceptable for end-users. INTRAS also leads Task 7.5 on Health Economic Assessment, analysing the efficiency, socio-economic impact and sustainability of COMFORTage interventions.
