Innovation, Wellbeing and Smart Care for Active Ageing
Population ageing is one of the greatest challenges of our time. More and more people want to live longer while maintaining autonomy, safety and quality of life. It is in this context that COMFORTage was created: a European project that puts technology at the service of older adults’ wellbeing, developing intelligent environments capable of adapting to people’s real needs.
The D6.2 deliverable of COMFORTage describes how the project disseminated its results, engaged stakeholders and built an effective communication network to promote innovative solutions dedicated to active ageing.
A Digital Ecosystem for Active Ageing
COMFORTage develops an ecosystem based on ambient assisted living, smart sensors and digital platforms that monitor users’ comfort, safety and health. The goal is not only technological, but deeply human: helping older adults live better, longer and more independently.
Through the project, environmental and behavioural data are collected to adapt living spaces to real user needs, improving risk prevention, quality of care and service personalisation.
Communication and Impact: The Core of Deliverable D6.2
Deliverable D6.2 focuses on the project’s dissemination and communication activities. Creating innovation is not enough: it must also be told, shared and made accessible.
Among the main actions described are:
- creation of web and social media content,
- participation in events and conferences,
- engagement of stakeholders, companies and institutions,
- production of informational materials,
- promotion of project results at European level.
Thanks to these activities, COMFORTage increased its visibility, built strategic relationships and transferred knowledge to both the market and the scientific community.
Technology that Creates Social Value
One of the most interesting aspects of COMFORTage is its ability to combine technological innovation and social impact. The project does not simply develop digital tools, but works to concretely improve the daily lives of older adults, caregivers and healthcare services.
The deliverable shows how communication was used to foster solution adoption, stimulate dialogue with end users and promote a new model of care based on comfort, prevention and personalisation.
Towards the Future of Smart Care
COMFORTage represents an important step towards a future in which the home becomes an intelligent, safe and truly person-centred environment. The work described in D6.2 shows that innovation is not only about technology, but also about the ability to communicate, engage and build trust.
In an ageing Europe, projects like COMFORTage are essential to build a more inclusive, sustainable and wellbeing-oriented society.
