COMFORTage’s Pilot 7 at SiNAPSA Neuroscience Conference 2025: AI Ethics Healthcare Framework
We’re excited to share that our team from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ljubljana recently attended the SiNAPSA Neuroscience Conference 2025 (SNC’25), held from September 17-19, 2025, at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana, Slovenia.
About the Conference
SNC’25 marked the 11th biennial international neuroscience meeting organised by SiNAPSA (Slovenian Neuroscience Association), the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ljubljana, and the Slovenian Society of Clinical Neurophysiology. This year’s conference brought together neuroscientists from all across the world, fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration and providing a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange.
The conference featured an impressive scientific program that included plenary lectures, thematic symposia, poster presentations, and educational workshops. The event created an inclusive environment for international dialogue on many neuroscience topics.
Our Contribution
At this year’s conference, as a part of COMFORTage’s Pilot 7 we presented our research through a poster with the title “Getting ETHAI-cal: a framework for responsible AI in healthcare”. This work highlights our commitment to ensuring that AI applications in healthcare are developed and deployed with strong ethical foundations.
The proposed framework addresses the critical challenge of responsible AI implementation in healthcare settings. Establishing clear ethical guidelines is of paramount importance, especially as the AI systems influence clinical decision-making, from diagnostic support to treatment planning, more often. The poster outlined a comprehensive approach that can be used to evaluate and implement the proposed AI technologies responsibly.
Connecting with the Neuroscience Community and Looking Forward
The conference provided an invaluable opportunity to engage with leading researchers, early-career scientists, and clinicians working at the intersection of neuroscience, technology, and healthcare. Our participation reinforced our belief in the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and we look forward to continuing important discussions and contributing to this field of research!
