Research suggests that testing multiple cognitive domains can reliably detect early cognitive decline, with oral health emerging as a significant factor. Oral frailty and microbiota have been linked to cognitive and physical decline, as well as Alzheimer’s dementia. The study aims to co-create a social learning intervention with lifestyle adaptations for those at risk of cognitive decline, focusing on carers and families with a history of cognitive decline or other NCDs. Data collected will include neuropsychological assessments, EEG, sleep quality, daily activities, physical activity, diet, blood pressure, glucose levels, and oral health. Using these data and COMFORTAGE tools, the study will implement interventions to maintain cognitive performance, reduce modifiable risk factors, and enhance well-being.
